Fabrizio Ardito, giornalista pubblicista e fotografo nato a Roma nel 1957, in tenera età è stato rapito dal demone della passione per la speleologia e dal fascino per tutti i luoghi sotterranei. Amante delle passeggiate, negli ultimi anni si è trovato a camminare su lunghi percorsi di fede e storia, come i Cammini di Santiago, il Sentier Cathare, la Via Francigena, i sentieri del monte Athos, la Via di Francesco e il Vallo di Adriano. Sul mondo sotterraneo ha pubblicato, oltre a numerosi articoli, i libri: “Guida alle grotte e canyon d'Italia” (Mursia), il volume di racconti “Di pietra e d’acqua” (Vivalda) e il volume illustrato “Italia sotterranea” dedicato agli ipogei delle città d’arte del Belpaese.

journalist and photographer born in Rome in 1957, was kidnapped at an
early age by the demon of passion for speleology and a fascination
for all underground places. A lover of walking, in recent years he
has found himself walking long paths of faith and history, such as
the Camino de Santiago, the Sentier Cathare, the Via Francigena, the
paths of Mount Athos, the Via of Francesco and Hadrian's Wall. On
the underground world he has published, in addition to numerous
articles, the books 'Guide to the Caves and Canyons of Italy'
(Mursia), the volume of short stories 'Of Stone and Water' (Vivalda)
and the illustrated volume ‘Underground Italy’ dedicated to the
hypogea of Italian cities of art.
